Sheet music, big enough to read.
Music Zoom is an iPad app for musicians with low vision. Access your music one line at a time, as large as you need it.
What it does
Enlarged sheet music gets awkward fast. Blow a page up on a photocopier and you’re juggling poster-sized paper. Zoom in on a PDF and you spend the whole song panning around and losing your place.
Music Zoom does it differently. Scan your music once and mark where each line is. When you play, the app puts those lines in a single strip, every one the same height, as big as your screen allows. A tap on the screen or a press of a footswitch brings in the next part.

How it works
- Photograph the page. Use the iPad camera, or pick a photo or scan you already have. Your original image is never changed.
- Mark the lines. Touch the top-left corner of a line with one finger and the bottom-right corner with another. Confirm it and move to the next. Most pages take a minute or two.
- Play. Pick the size you need and start. Move ahead with the on-screen buttons, a Bluetooth footswitch, or by dragging the music with your finger.
Where things stand
Music Zoom is in development now. A public beta will open in October 2026 though Apple’s TestFlight app, and I expect the full release in late 2026 or early 2027.
You’ll need an iPad running iPadOS 26 or later. I’ll add support older versions of iPadOS once I’ve been able to test them.
The beta is free. Pricing will be posted before launch.
